Frankie Smith’s Story
There was more to Frankie Smith than met the eye. Before his passing on March 2019, he lived a complete life. In his youth, he won a full scholarship to Tennessee State for Track & Field, and he was also an understudy for the Harlem Globetrotters. Later in life, he was moved to start creating music — he was even studying Oscar Peterson and learning classical piano as a hobby! For Frankie Smith, music was a spiritual experience. He was committed to performing the Lord’s work and would often incorporate these spiritual values into his music.
